We have already had a jam-packed holiday season! At school the Cinnamon Sticks are involved in drama, choir and all things musical. So we have attended holiday recitals, end of term plays, and concerts…lots of concerts. The kids love it and it’s inspiring to see all of their hard work pay off.
The first event was a drama performance called the Wyrd Sisters. It was weird. I’m still not sure I understand the plot:
Then we were followed up by school recitals. Out youngest stick played “Roller Skate Rock” and our oldest sang “Bad Blood”:
Next was the lovely Santa Lucia concert that our eldest performed in. After the concert we enjoyed several Swedish delights: julmust, a spicy soft drink offered in Sweden only at Christmas, warm apple cider, and lussebullar, traditional Lucia Celebration Saffron Buns. Our youngest Cinnamon Stick even got to decorate pepparkakor cookies, which is a seasonal gingerbread cookie! We are starting to look forward to these seasonal delights in Sweden.
And to top it all off, there was an end of year school concert where the girls got to participate in multiple performances.
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
To be continued…
How amazing!! You can't get that at public school in the US! Please let the girls know Coen says hi. ❤️️
