A Park Here, A Park There... A Park Everywhere
Turns out there are a lot of parks in Stockholm!
Stockholm is turning out to be a very kid friendly place. I mentioned in a previous post that they had a great zip-line near the Stockholm public library:
But just 100 or so meters away (yes, I’m only going to use metric now that I am in Europe), there is another lovely park called the Observatorielunden. It is also about 100m straight up. It surrounds, of course, the Stockholm Observatory:
Since it is perched up on top of a hill, it gives a great view of the city:
A couple of days ago, we found a large park near our current apartment. It’s called Rosenlundsparken. One of the interesting things about the parks in Stockholm is Monday through Friday, they frequent have various toys throughout that the kids are free to share. So far we have enjoyed, pedal cars and bikes:
And pogo sticks:
It also sports a water feature for those rare hot Stockholm days!
One of our favorite parks is called Vasaparken. It has this great little pedal-powered Merry-Go-Round:
And is a fantastic place to picnic!
It has been an incredible first week in Stockholm! I think I’m going to like it here:
Opportunities to rediscover yourselves in new surroundings doesn’t happen often, so you are wise to take advantage. We hope you enjoy your new home and are able to include many other locations while you are in Stockholm. All the best to you, Ray and Donna
I love seeing you all so happy there and reading about the adventure! Thanks for sharing!
